When you become conscious you will feel gratitude for all suffering and you will bless every pain and apparent injustice. One day you will know how they came to elevate and improve you and how necessary they have been for your evolution. Difficulties and sufferings are tests on your path to integrity. When one realises this, life becomes a teacher. Every crisis, fall and difficulty is perfect, irreplaceable. Namaste Deb
According to Chinese medicine the human body is designed to live to 100 yrs and this is my goal. But in order to accomplish this my body is telling me I have an issue in my tissues! Which I am squarely addressing.
I am now involved in an extreme detox with daily detox herbs, a fruit diet, Medical Qigong, with enhanced studies in Japanese Jin Shin Jyutsu, Chinese health secrets, and integrative acupressure. This is quite an adventure and I will be thrilled to share some of these health secrets and the wealth of knowledge explored.
Here are some Detox elements you may want to explore for disease prevention.
On the Food Front:
Why you may ask a fruit only diet?
For detox the astringent action of fruit is key to cleanse the internal organs. Plus fruits have a treasure trove of amino acids. Your body uses these amino acids for cellular energy to produce ATP (Energy!). When you eat meat the body must break down a complex amino acid structure (a protein) into amino acids, fats to fatty acids, and starch or complex carbohydrate sugars to simple sugars before it can be used. That takes a lot of extra work and energy. Fruit energy is alive, and immediately accessible meat energy is dead and energy draining, so my choice is efficient and live food.
I lost 8 lbs in 3 days of eating fruit...not that I needed it but that's where my body wanted to go. It's balanced out now, no more weight loss.
On the Hygiene Front:
40 Minute Warm (not hot!) Detox baths.
Three times per week. Hot water dries the skin so soaking with 1 cup Epsom salts and 1/4 cup baking soda gives the body a big dose of magnesium which relaxes muscles and nervous system. It also draws out toxins. Additional benefit it's a great time to meditate! Add some of your favorite essential oils, mine being lavender which enhances relaxation. Those 40 minutes simply fly by as you drop deeper into bliss.
After, the body is dried it's time to brush upward from the legs to the groin to remove dead skin but mostly to get the lymphatic system to drain. Up the arms to armpits, across the chest and belly to armpits and groin. Up and down the spine and to all areas of the back.
Quick shower to rinse dead cells, then fully oil body with coconut oil. Let the oil sink in. As you prepare yourself for your following mornings details and for a gorgeous deep sleep.
On the Mental Hygiene Front:
Studying Chinese Health Care Secrets I come to learn to value the state of my emotional wellbeing from a whole new perspective. They have systematized each emotion with a corresponding organ.
Anger imbalance causes disease of the liver. Fear affects the kidneys. Worry is in the spleen. Joy imbalance affects the heart. Sorrow goes to the lungs.
Anger is the most destructive as it blocks qi energy and blood circulation. Anger produces hormone imbalances and suppresses the immune system. It can also lead to High blood pressure, stress and starts to affect all of the organs.
Excessive thinking or emotionality consume great stores of qi energy. Consciousness through meditation balance the emotions to be in harmony with the event. This is when qi accumulates and builds into spirit, and infinite energy and inspiration.
I've had my share of 'overreacting' and as I meditate and send light love and breath to heal each internal organ, I express appreciation for all the work they have done to get me to this age and I ask them to continue to heal and support me in as I grow into new life endeavors. And I say good bye to all the accumulated toxins from dental amalgams, to pesticides and junk and heavy metals accumulated from processed foods and vitamin supplements.
Please feel free to contact me with questions and support.
It’s time to lose the bags! I’m talking about the Louis Vuitton handbag filled with your entire apartments contents. Note: handbags may be used as a metaphor.
Leisure walking with a friend Saturday I noticed her shoulder hanging significantly lower when she mentioned her lower back pain. I asked to hold her bag and was shocked at the weight. No wonder her body is out of alignment. The entire time that we walked did she ever use her bag? You know the answer.
Losing the attachment to things like our bags frees us to feel the breeze, our arms swinging freely as their meant to do!
Later that day I’m with a client who is rolling on the yoga balls, groaning and moaning while sliding and gliding to release tension collected in her shoulders from her handbag!
I know you know that tension from handbags can lead to shoulder, neck, back, hip pain and headaches.
But did you know when pressure and tension build and form a knot (disorganized collagen) this adhesion obstructs energy flow and toxins begin to collect fostering potential for disease! There is a lot of new science indicting those congested cells!
Sometimes you still have to carry your bag, especially when running about town all day.
Handbags can be metaphors for the other unnecessary baggage we lug around.
Let go, lighten the load.
We've all experienced it and it affects all aspects of life, wasting precious time instead of enjoying life.
It weakens your immune system, shorten lifespan, adds unwanted pounds and sexual dysfunction.
Here's the laundry list of stresses toll:
Cognitive: memory loss, poor concentration and judgement, seeing only negative, anxiety and worry, plus racing thoughts.
Emotional: moodiness, irritability, short temper, inability to relax, short tempered, overwhelmed feeling, loneliness, isolation, depression and unhappiness.
Physical: Increased body fat, aches and pains, diarrhea, constipation, dizziness, nausea, rapid heartbeat, frequent colds, diminished sex drive.
Behavioral: Eating/Sleeping too much or too little, procrastinating, neglecting responsibilities, using substances to relax, nail biting, pacing.
How to Handle Stress!
Acknowledge it! Ignoring it doesn't make it go away.
Have Fun: play with your kids or your pet, go for a stroll and maybe a roll in the grass, leaves or snow!
Meditate: becoming more mindful you have more selective attention, you become responsive instead of reactive.
Pranayama: Controlled breathing is a great first step to mastering stress.
Low Breathing: This is the best possible form of breathing. It utilizes your lower abdomen and diaphragm to pull air in and out of your lungs. To practice breathe into your stomach as you suck air through your nose. Your stomach will expand as you breath in and compress as you exhale. Your chest and shoulder blades will not move much — only your stomach.
I am serious about having fun and getting results. Being down to earth I love
